Ouch! Talk about permanent character write off: Full Story
Matthew Perry, Martin Sheen, Denny Seiwell, Melissa Fitzgerald, and Harry Lennix were among the celebrities who showed their support for the National Association of Drug Court Professionals by attending the NADCP Conference in Washington D.C. this past week. Drug Courts are designed to provide treatment for those who suffer from drug and alcohol addiction and have committed a non-violent crime. Studies prove that it is a much better alternative to incarceration and it literally saves lives and tax dollars. Nationwide, 75% of Drug Court graduates remain arrest-free at least two years after leaving the program. Perry, Sheen, Fitzgerald, and Lennix are all advocates for this cause and have become the celebrity faces of the NADCP. I had the distinct honor of being a part of this event by working on their pr campaign and getting the word out to the national media. I believe it is a cause that any American can stand behind in good faith because it is treating our nations drug problem as opposed to putting the issue behind bars and hoping it goes away. She is best known as Chelsea, the woman who miraculously tamed Charlie Harper on the CBS hit series Two and a Half Men. Jennifer Taylor played Charlie’s fiance for several seasons on the number one rated comedy. No stranger to the silver screen, big or small, Taylor has starred in numerous movies and hit tv shows like Las Vegas, The Ghost Whisperer, and Charmed. In her most recent role she will be playing Susan in the Lifetime movie “Carnal Innocence“. The movie is based on the Nora Roberts novel “Carnal Innocence”, and promises to live up to the Roberts reputation.

It’s not the Oscars but I’d have to say it’s generally much more entertaining than your typical awards show. Yes, it’s that time of year again! You know it’s summer when the MTV Movie Awards are on! The most anticipated moment is a sneak peak at Twilight’s “Breaking Dawn Part 1“. MTV has also gained first trailer viewing rights to ”Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2“; and “Super 8“. Hosted by SNL’s own Jason Sudeikis (who?) the show will be held at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, CA. Presenters will include Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Steve Carell, Shia LaBeouf, Patrick Dempsey, Cameron Diaz, Selena Gomez and Nicki Minaj. Seriously, with a line up like that who cares who the host is right?
Behind-the-Scenes at the Awards
Snooki crashed her Fiat into the back of a police car yesterday. Ironically, it was an escort patrol car that was there for her safety. No serious injuries were reported. The police officers were both treated for whiplash. No arrests were made and alcohol was not involved. The Jersey Shore once again “represents” in Italy.
The original Charlie’s Angels tv series ran from the mid 70′s into the early 80′s. Charlie’s Angels the movie debuted in 2000 with a sequel to follow in 2003. Now ABC is bringing it back to the small screen this fall. This time the “Angels” aren’t angels at all. Or at least they didn’t start out that way. In the original series the trio of crime fighters were grads of the police academy. The new series starring Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor, and Annie Ilonzeh, portrays them as ex-criminals that Charlie brings together to fight crime. It’s an interesting twist but it has been done before. (Breakout Kings) Check out the trailer and see if it will be worth watching.
